Short bio:
Keith has been working with AutoCAD drafting and customization for many years starting with AutoCAD R10 and is well versed through AutoCAD 2004. He has written over 200 custom programs for various applications ranging from small programs designed to speed up the drawing process to automated drafting based on user input criteria for clients such as Broadwing Communications, Kraft Foods, and Champion Enterprises. Keith also regularly visits AutoCAD related forums offering advice, tips, tricks and short bits of code to make other users drafting experience more productive. He was heavily recruited by NASA in 2000 for work on a new production facility in their Merritt Island Florida location, and more recently by Georgia Power to oversee the conversion of LISP programming to VBA for their 200+ user base.

Short bio:
Alan served for 9 years in the Royal Air Force as an Airframes Technician before leaving to pursue higher education as a mature student. Since attaining his degree nearly a decade ago, he has been heavily involved with CAD. Although working mainly in AutoCAD, he has utilized RADAN and Pro-Engineer among others.
Working in the mechanical sector, Alan spent several years designing road vehicles for the Public Transport Industry before being employed to (re)design a 1951 Pullman Coach to enable the carriage to be run on the UK rail network. He has more recently been employed designing products for the Dry Filtration Industry where Alan's range of programming skills enabled him to cut drawing production time by around 60%.
He has experience as the systems administrator and developer for AutoManager Workflow, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), responsible for implementing AMW into the production environment and training users in both the UK and the USA.
Alongside the design and drafting aspect, Alan has been responsible for creating presentations, animations and visualizations for customers using 3D Studio products.
Like other ResourceCAD members, Alan is active in several CAD forums offering help and advice along with code segments to make other users drafting experience more rewarding. |
