Find-N-Load is a VB(a) program compiled into an executable that helps you find, load and unload your LISP, VBA, ARX, and DCL files. More
It works by digging around in your hard drive to find all of your little gems that you have either misplaced or completely forgot about. Simply click the icon on your desktop, start menu, or quick launch toolbar.
The program types are each listed in a check list on separate tabs for easy selection of the files to load into AutoCAD. Simply select the file(s) to load and click the 'Load Selected' button. All of your selected items on that tab will be loaded into AutoCAD.
If AutoCAD is not running, it will start it for you and then load the required program(s). This is good when you have a program designed to operate on many different files.
You can also inspect and unload VBA and ARX modules by selecting the Tools menu.
Current known issues are: When searching for all file types on a drive with a large number of files on them (around 60,000+) It appears to stop responding for a few seconds. This is because of the time required to parse the entire directory structure. It is advisable to start the program in the background at startup by selecting the "Load at Startup" option if you have a large number of files on the searched drive.
The AutoCAD 2000 type library does not support the listing of currently loaded VBA projects.
This program is currently under more development so check back regularly for updates.
This is a small utility to hide or display selected blocks (and vector geometry) within a drawing. Visibility is controlled through object properties so layer status is unaffected. The utility comes complete with a help file and installation is automatic through a setup.exe Command line: BLISO
This is a small utility to calculate and create the development of a Frustum of a cone. Driven via a dialogue box, the user enters Minimum & Maximum Diameters + Height and the development (profile) is created automatically. The utility comes complete with a help file and installation is automatic through a setup.exe Command line: CDEV
AMT ~ AlignMoveText is a Vlisp routine to align and move Text or Mtext in relation to a selected line. The user selects a line followed by Text and the text is rotated to match the angle of the line. If the text is unreadable from the bottom or right, the user is prompted to rotate the text through 180 °, the user is then given the option to move text to selected position on line or remain in place. Command line: AMT
XCR ~ Vlisp routine which places an arc over the crossing intersection of lines or arcs. The user is prompted for the crossing line/arc, followed by the intersection. An arc is inserted in the crossing line/arc and the section of line/arc within the “crossing arc” is removed. The newly inserted “crossing arc” takes on the layer properties of the original line/arc selected. The diameter of the crossing arc is remembered through AutoCAD sessions by use of the config file and can be changed any time the routine is run. Command line: XCR
A routine to insert a "Limit of Partial View or Section" line, often referred to as a "Breakline" based on the selection of two points. Layer , linetype & Color are automatically set and the Zline assigned to this layer.
The routine is supplied as Vlisp "open-source" so that the user can modify the layer, linetype and color properties if required.
Tubeit is a Vlisp application to create an interrupted view of a round shaft or a tube. The user pick two points defining the ends of the shaft and is then prompted to select either a Solid or Tube, if tube is selected, the user is prompted for the tube wall thickness. The tube/shaft "section" is then created on the layer of the first endpoint selected. Command line: TUBEIT
Routine to Align and "Stack" lines of text. User is prompted for the first text object and all subsequent text objects are aligned below the first selected. The "aligned" text objects inherit the rotation, layer and text height of the first object selected. Works on Left/Right/Center/Aligned/Middle/Fit justified text Command Line: STK
This program allows you to select multiple points(nodes) or simply snap multiple places in the drawing and insert the selected (dialog box) block at each point. You have the option of scale and rotation for the block. To start the program use 'blockm'. You are first presented with a dialog to choose either "Nodes" or "Osnaps", "Nodes" will let you select as many nodes as you like. "Osnaps" will let you snap as many places in your drawing as you like. The program them presents you with a dialog box allowing you to select a block that is already in the drawing or browse for one. After block selection is made you enter the scale and rotation for the block. All blocks are inserted at that scale and rotation. See included help file for screen shots
This program will generate a comma delimited (.csv) file consisting of Name, Layer, Rotation angle, if it has attributes or not, Plotstyle name, X,Y and Z scale factor for every block inserted into Modelspace.
A sample output: CG_T33,SVY-TREE,0.00,NO,BYLAYER,12.00,12.00,12.00 CG_T33,SVY-TREE,0.00,NO,BYLAYER,12.00,12.00,12.00 CG_T33,SVY-TREE,0.00,NO,BYLAYER,12.00,12.00,12.00 CG_T33,SVY-TREE,0.00,NO,BYLAYER,12.00,12.00,12.00 CG_T33,SVY-TREE,0.00,NO,BYLAYER,12.00,12.00,12.00
Point On Object. A VLISP routine to position a Point object on any entity ~ line, spline, ellipse, circle etc at any given position. The position can be specified using any of the following methods: Startpoint, Midpoint, Endpoint, a specified Distance along the length of the object, or even by specifying a Percentage of the total length of the object. The point object size is obtained from the current dimension setting for arrowhead size and the point is placed on the same layer as the object selected. Command line: POO
A VLISP routine to add the individual lengths of selected objects. Objects are highlighted as they are selected to visually aid the selection process, and the routine reports the current object length, number of objects selected along with a running total of summed lengths on the command line as objects are added. Command line: SUMMIT
Purge Unused Groups, or to be specific, a VLISP routine which erases unused or empty groups from the drawing database. If some maniac has run through your drawing deleting groups without exploding them first (in the Group dialogue box), then you will have a number of groups left in the database and the normal purge routine will not get rid of them. This results in unnecessary overheads in your drawing file. This routine searches through the Groups dictionary, compiling a list of all the groups in the drawing. It then checks that each group listed has a number of entities contained under that group name. If the group has no entities, then the group has been deleted from the drawing at some point, and this routine will erase that group name from the groups dictionary. Command Line: PUG
CENT is a routine to place a Point on the Centroid of a Solid or a Region. Cent works on these objects regardless of the current UCS by creating a temporary OCS to obtain the centroid coordinates, then resetting the UCS back to the original. The Point size is obtained from the current setting for DIMASZ (Arrowhead size). Command Line: CENT
A Vlisp routine to erase zero length and 'near zero length' lines from your drawing. The chances are, if you have zero length lines in your drawing, then you will also have fragmented, almost zero length lines present somewhere. This routine gives you the option to delete lines "Less than" a specified length. Command line: LESSLINES
